Google Business Profile Video Verification
Google verifies most local businesses with one unedited phone video proving three things: the location is real, the business operates there, and you manage it.
One take means one take. Trimming, cutting, or stopping and resuming is the most common rejection reason — record it in a single messy pass.
Before you hit record
- Stick your logo on the front door — decal, cling, or plaque. An unbranded door is the most common reason a real location still fails.
- Open your Business Profile on a laptop at the counter, signed in — you will film the screen near the end.
- Unlock the door, lights on, proof out: business card, a branded invoice or price list, keys.
- Confirm the address, name, and category match your profile exactly.
- Walk it once without recording. Then film steady and slow, 2–5 minutes.

Example one-take run: what the camera sees
Street sign
One continuous recording, no cuts, no edits. If you stop the camera, start over. Narration is optional — Google accepts silent video.
Home-service businesses: film the trucks on the way in
Film your wrapped vehicles during the exterior shots, while the camera is already out there. Keep the walk moving one direction: street → vehicles → signage → door → inside.
Why videos get rejected
- The recording was cut, trimmed, or filmed as several clips.
- The video starts inside, so nothing ties the business to the address.
- Signage unreadable, missing, or not matching the profile name. A street sign proves an address; your logo on the door proves it is your address.
- No proof of management — the Business Profile is never shown signed in on your own computer.
- The address is a mailbox, hot desk, or virtual office — not eligible, and re-filming will not fix it.
After you upload
- Upload from the verification prompt in Business Profile Manager, as the account that manages the profile.
- Review takes up to five business days. A second video while one is pending restarts the queue.
- If it fails, Google names the reason. Fix it and re-record the full walk — you cannot patch the old video.
- Once verified, connect the profile to Lead Oracle from Settings → Integrations.
